Notes for - John MacCormick c. 1816.

John MacCormick was the second son of Angus MacCormick b.ca.1785, and Mary McLucais.

John was christened 9 August 1816, Uisken, Argyll, Scotland; died 1873 Grey Co., Ontario. He married about 1852 Durham, Grey Co., Ontario, Mary McQuarrie born 1832 Scotland and died 1912 Durham, Grey Co., Ontario and the daughter of Malcolm McQuarrie. Both John and Mary are buried at Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

Children born to John McCormick and Mary McQuarrie:

i. Angus McCormick, b. 1853 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario; married Sarah McGillvary and died 1921. Angus is buried at Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

ii. Malcolm McCormick, b. 1854 Bentinck Township, Grey Co.,Ontario; died 1855 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario and buried at Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

iii. Malcom McCormick, born 1855 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario; died 1856 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario and buried at Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

iv. Annie McCormick, born 1856 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario; died 1898 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario and buried Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

v. Mary McCormick, born 1858 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario; died 1902 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario and is buried Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario

viii. Mary Jane McCormick born 1867 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario; married Niel McKillop, died 1897 Grey Co., Ontario. Both Mary Jane, and her husband Neil McKillop, are buried in the Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

ix. John McCormick born about 1870 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

x. Catherine McCormick born 1873 Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.

xi. Malcolm McCormick born 1863 Bentinck Township, Grey Co. Ontario; died 1918 Grey Co., Ontario and is buried Rocky Pioneer Cemetery, Bentinck Township, Grey Co., Ontario.
